What to expect
- The clinician assesses your face and agrees the product and treatment area.
- After cleaning and any numbing, a needle or cannula places the product. Skin boosters may involve many small injections.
How it feels
Stings and pressure, even with numbing. Lips and delicate areas can be particularly sensitive.
Downtime
Swelling, bruising, tenderness or small injection bumps can last several days and sometimes weeks. Allow recovery before a major event.
Results
When you might see a change. Filler changes shape immediately, but swelling can distort it until settled. Skin-booster changes usually develop over weeks.
How long it might last. Filler may last roughly 6–18 months or longer depending on product and area. Boosters have their own evidence and duration; ask about the exact formulation.
How often?
